Review this restaurant

Head Chef:

With four moorings along side the patio you are able to navigate the river from Dartmouth for lunch or dinner. Check the tides! The south facing patio enjoys the sun all day long and outside heaters warm up those chillier evenings. There's no better place in Totnes to sit back and relax, watch the world go by and enjoy great food.

Further Details

With four moorings along side the patio you are able to navigate the river from Dartmouth for lunch or dinner, Check the tides!

The south facing patio enjoys the sun all day long and outside heaters warm up those chillier evenings.

Modern dining areas and a cosy bar with very well kept beers add to the great appel of the Steam Packet.

There's no better place in Totnes to sit back and relax, watch the world go by and enjoy great food.

A little bit of History! The steam packet ships made regular stops at inns which also served as post offices.

The Steam Packet in Totnes was one such calling point, and its restaurant, called Amelia, was named after one of the three coastal steam packet ships which called at the inn.

It took passengers and mail from London to Portsmouth, Totnes, Devonport and finally connected with the transatlantic packets at Falmouth.

Now the most you’ll see from the inn’s conservatory or sun terrace is perhaps a dinghy, canoe or a small working boat.
