If you want great authentic Italian food in a setting which has no pretentions to be anything other than a tradditional Italian trattoria then a visit to La Rosetta is a must.
It is all here, red and white table cloths, chianti bottles and a feeling that you are somewhere in Rome or Florence rather than in a Devon village.
Saul and Julie Vicary show their love of food and all things Italian through this lovely little restaurant and their menu which has been put together using the best quality ingredients which are of course sourced from across Italy but also using the best the West Country has to offer.
The restaurant has been a favourite haunt for locals and visitors alike for many years and rightly so when you know that the Bresola with Lemon, Rocket, Parmesan and Oil has been lovingly cured on the premises for 15 days and has been marinaded for a further 5 days just the way it's done in Italy.

La Rosetta's menu always has several options for Vegetarians. Try the Field mushroom rissotto or the Fettucini Rosetta made using slow roasted peppers and aubergine.
Sample Dish:
Try the Homemade Smoked Salmon Ravioli finished with a Prawn and Basil Sauce or perhaps one of the regularly changing seasonal dishes from the specials board such as Whole Baked Sea Bass in White Wine, Garlic and Butter. Or if a Pizza is more to your liking you know it will be truly authentic.
