Reeds Restaurant is located in the heart of the pretty east Devon village of Colyford, where Country meets Coast.

We have a simple philosophy: to offer refined dining with a warm welcome, serving top quality, beautifully cooked food using the best in-season, locally-sourced ingredients.

All of our dishes are freshly cooked to order and carefully crafted by our Head Chef Ray and his team.
Reeds Restaurant is open Tuesdays to Saturdays for lunch (12 noon to 2.00pm) and dinner (from 6.30pm with last orders taken at 8.30 pm) offering British/European style dishes from the a la carte menu.

We are fully licenced with a wide range of wines, spirits and soft drinks to suit every taste.
Our a la carte menus change with the seasons and prices start at £5.50 for starters and £9.95 for mains (at lunchtime) or £14.95 for an evening main course.

With advanced bookings of 24 hours or more (so we can source the right ingredients), Reeds are delighted to cater for any dietary requirements, including Vegans, Coeliacs and Kosher, so if you struggle to find eateries that cater for dietary restrictions, allergies or intolerances, come and visit Reeds to experience delicious dishes you can savour safely.

Reeds also host regular foodie events (such as our very popular Pudding Club or “Food Focus” weeks which feature recipes from different countries!).

As Reeds is part of the Swallows Eaves Hotel, an owner managed 7-roomed hotel that was fully refurbished in 2012, Reeds is also able to offer money-saving Dine and Stay packages.

Reeds Restaurant is also available for private functions so if you have a family celebration or simply feel the need for a party, we'd be delighted to host your special event!

Alternatively Fine Dining Vouchers are available to treat somebody special to a meal at a time to suit them.

Current A la carte menu for lunch ranges from starters at £5.50 to mains at £15.95. Evening A la carte menu ranges from £5.50 for starters to £17.95 for mains

Creative vegetarian options are always available, for example Porcini mushroom and snow pea risotto topped with soft Duck’s egg and shaved parmesan served with mixed leaf and basil tomato salad. Head Chef Ray is always happy to cater for any dietary requirements, including Vegans, Coeliacs and Kosher – we simply need 24 hours’ notice so we can source the right ingredients.

 

Sample Dish:
Pan sautéed fillets of locally caught wild sea bass served on a ginger, spring onion, potato and butter broth topped with a parmesan crisp or Traditional slow cooked French cassoulet with confit pork, French Merguez sausage, white beans and stock served with homemade crusty bread.
