Over the last fifteen years The Jack in the Green has grown to what it is today - one of the best Free House / Restaurants in the South West of England. Here you can enjoy consistently good food, outstanding service and warm hospitality all in superb comfortable surroundings. Between us we have gained a reputation for a pub that can be whatever you want it to be - formal or informal, a place to celebrate birthdays, christenings, weddings and anniversaries or a place to have a glass of wine or a locally brewed pint. We don\'t mind if this is for two people or as one of my regulars did recently for his 50th Birthday - Jazz in the courtyard with canapés, followed by a four course gourmet dinner and lashings of Chilean wine for one hundred people.

To start, the ‘Freedom’ Organic Salmon Gravadlax with Lemon and Caper Dressing and wild Spring Leaves followed by the Roast Rump of Fishleigh Estate Organic Lamb, Provencale Vegetables, Black Olives and Olive Oil Mash.
