The Ship Inn at Cockwood
Tel: 01626 890373
The Ship at Cockwood buzzes with the happy chatter that we have all come to expect from a traditional country pub.
The warm welcome, log burners crackling in the corner and the beautifully home cooked food keep the locals very content indeed.
Braised Lamb Shank and delicious homemade Pies are just two of the many favourites to be found on the menu with a specials board that truly reflects what's seasonal and local.
Regular Paella nights have been a huge hit and are not to be missed.
Regular Pie and Pint and Curry nights feature on a Thursday and ever popular 2 course senior citizens lunches are served on Fridays.
Alongside the menus the Ship also stocks well kept real ales. Having been in the Good Beer Guide for the fifth year running and awarded Cask Marque status the Ship Inn also attracts the Real Ale faithful.
The fish and seafood is also worth a mention and the Ship Inn has gained an enviable reputation for fantastic all locally caught from the day boats, as fresh as it gets.
