The Ship at Cockwood buzzes with the happy chatter that we have all come to expect from a traditional country pub.

The warm welcome, log burners crackling in the corner and the beautifully home cooked food keep the locals very content indeed.

Braised Lamb Shank and Steak and Kidney Pie are just two of the many favourites to be found on the menu with a specials board that truly reflects what's seasonal and local.

The fish and seafood is also worth a mention, all locally caught from the day boats and as fresh as it gets. Terrific stuff!
